Indications:

This medication is used to treat the following fungal infections:

• Fungal vaginitis caused by candidiasis.
• Systemic candidiasis of the mouth, pharynx, esophagus, and urinary tract.
• peritonitis.
• Pneumonia.
• Meningitis.
• A prophylactic antifungal in homeopathic bone marrow transplantation.

How to use:

The dosage of this medicine depends on the fungal infection to be treated, the severity of the infection according to the doctor's instructions.

Precautions:

• The dose of fluconazole should be adjusted according to the creatinine clearance rate in patients with renal problems.
• If the treatment period is prolonged, liver function should be checked periodically.
• If a woman is of childbearing age, she should take a contraceptive drug while taking fluconazole and for several weeks afterwards.
• Fluconazole should not be used during breastfeeding because it may be excreted in breast milk.

Side effects:

• Headache.
• Tummy ache.
• Nausea.

Drug-Drug interactions:

• Terfenadine.
• Cisapride.
• Erythromycin.
