Indications:

Diovan, which contains the active substance valsartan, is used to treat high blood pressure, and for heart failure.

How to Use:

• Take one tablet daily, with or without food.

Precautions:

• It is contraindicated to use the drug in case of hypersensitivity to one of the components of the drug.
• Use with caution during pregnancy and breastfeeding, and in case of severe kidney and liver disorders and heart disease, and its not used in children less than 18 years of age.

Side Effects:

• Sore throat.
• Dizziness.
• Dry cough.

Drug-Drug Interactions:

• Aliskiren.
• Antihypertensive drugs.
• Potassium supplements.
